Summary
"Most people have heard of the illegal drug Ice, also known as crystal meth or methamphetamine. A few years ago, Ice was mainly confined to America but recently more and more of it is turning up in Australia. With growing reports of Ice related crimes in the daily press, do we know why this drug is causing such social chaos? Ice has an image of being one of the worst drugs society has seen but what is it? Why is it so addictive and what exactly does it do to the body? We turn to science to sort the facts from the hype. -- Recently, scientists from Queensland University turned more than a few heads when they discovered a large dinosaur graveyard in the outback and, Catalyst's very own Palaeontologist, Dr. Paul Willis, couldn't wait to get a glimpse of the 100 million year old bones that are putting Australia firmly on the world's dinosaur map. -- Karl Braganza is a climatologist whose work is all about facing a potentially stormy future." -- edited from website
