- Summary
- The feminist art revolution radically transformed the art and culture of our times. !Women art revolution exposes the exciting and formerly secret cultural history. The feminist art movement was an activist movement, providing a model of cultural and political change. Art protests were waged against discrimination and racial exclusion as well as violence against women. Over time, the tenacity and courage of these pioneering women artists resulted in what many historians now feel is the most significant art movement of the 20th century. The documentary features an original score by Carrie Brownstein. Director: Lynn Hershman Leeson
